Time station 36 at about 3:00 pm RAAM time. We have been flying across flat farmland of Illinois on our TT bikes. Not really making a dent in the second and third place teams - but there's still a chance that things will change in the mountains yet to come. I'm told we have 1,000 miles (1,600km) to go. We'll be in Atlantic City soon. It boggles the mind thinking back on all we have seen, in such a short time, most of it entirely new to me - and all on our bikes.

Kicking It
Keep kickin' it Sam. You can only control what you do and you never know when the teams ahead are going to start sputtering. You guys should have a little extra left in the tank from playing possum early - great strategy! If your symbiotic relationship with Captain Ipod continues, you guys should be kicking butt soon - he is feeling much better and eating like crazy.
We are all loving this and wish we could be there in person to experience it all - maybe next year. You have inspired many people with your efforts.
